So I shared a post on Global Running Day, and I thought…why not share it here. I wasn’t even going to post that day, but the day was a reminder of the joy that running brought into my life before my new normal. And although the journey to getting back has been extremely difficult, I still have hope and know the joy that running brings. It doesn’t matter if you’re slow as molasses or elite, every time your feet hit the pavement (or dreadmill)…it counts!
Never let anybody make you feel less than because of your pace, your size, a disability, or because your effort doesn’t look like theirs. Your journey is YOURS. If there’s a distance you want to tackle: One mile, 5K, 10K, half marathon, full marathon, or an Ultra — I say…GO FOR IT!
I decided to celebrate Global Running Day a little early by signing up for my first Run Disney race in 3 years. I’ll be returning to Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in 2020 (eeeek!) and I’m super stoked about it! So Run Disney friends, you know what that means…see ya real soon! °o°
No matter what…just KEEP GOING!
