I can’t believe this is it. What do I do with myself now? *face palm* OK, kidding. But y’all…I have officially completed my FIRST #BlogLikeCrazy Challenge! I initially went into this process wondering if I could really do it. Well, I proved to myself that I absolutely can! Last year I shared how excited I was to transition to lifestyle with blogging. Food and fitness will always be a constant here on My Pretty Brown Fit, but I know there is so much more that I want to share.
Over the past 30 days, I realized I CAN blog every single day. Don’t think I did this alone, using a planner really helped me plan my posts for the week. On the flip side of that, I’m a vibe person. If my vibe isn’t feeling that post for that day (scheduled or not), I’m not scheduling it. I realize that I (or we) can often make blogging more complicated than it has to be. I have a voice and a platform, so why not use it?
I want to get back to the heart of blogging and why I started. Back before everything was so scripted with a relationship status = “it’s complicated”. It doesn’t have to be hard. I remember when I started, I took photos using my dinosaur not-so-smart-phone. Thank goodness for DSLRs and quality enhancements to our mobile and smart devices, but I feel like those were the days when blogging was done with more passion.
I appreciate this writing challenge for reminding me what I miss…and what’s important. I have a voice and my own style, and it doesn’t have to fit into anyone’s mold. It also allowed me to get transparent about some things and share my story. This journey is not just about me. Sharing my story gave me the opportunity to share my journey as a plus-size marathoner — with a national magazine, y’all! You never know who is reading OR who you are inspiring!

As I approach year SEVEN of blogging, I am more excited than I’ve ever been before. This has been such a rewarding experience, and I’m so grateful for my tribe and the encouragement along the way. I hope you have enjoyed following me along for the ride. My #BlogLikeCrazy mission is COMPLETE!
Thank you always for reading!

It’s funny that you wrote this. I didn’t know you were on a challenge. This year, I sort of lost my way in blogging. I was trying to be so technical, that it affected my “vibe” as well. In the last few months, I rekindled my love and I’m more determined than ever to find the balance between being strategic and writing through my heart. I love blogging and connecting with other bloggers. 2018 is going to be amazing!
I’m going to look into that challenge.

I have missed blogging. I am thinking about getting back into it but like you want o make sure the vibe I bring is most authentic and not about the likes and the hit.
we will see what the new year brings.
Any advice on finding that vibe?

I have really missed blogging. I am not a writer per say but I found it harder and harder to come up with things that I really wanted to write about.
I am thinking about trying it again but like you thinking about what my vibe and tribe will be.
Any pointers?
