Ingredients

  • 10 ounces fresh watermelon juice
  • 10 basil leaves
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • 4 ounces tonic water OR Spiritless Gin, divided non-alcoholic, gin alternative
  • Simple Syrup to taste - optional
  • Ice
  • 1 4 inch sprig of rosemary - for garnish and taste (optional)

Instructions

  • Pour tonic water or gin alternative over ice.
  • Add watermelon juice and lemon juice to shaker.
  • Add basil leaves and muddle, twisting your wrist to muddle about 5 to 6 times to release the juice from the basil leaves. You don’t want to twist more than that.
  • Add ice then shake vigorously.
  • Using your strainer, pour your drink into glass with tonic (or spiritless gin) and garnish with a sprig of rosemary.
  • Serve and enjoy!
