Blackberry Jalapeño Sherry Vinaigrette

This Blackberry Vinaigrette is made with blackberry jalapeño jelly, sherry vinegar, blackberries, jalapeños, herbs, and spices.

Equipment

  • Sieve to extract blackberry juice
  • Mason jar with lid

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Extra-virgin olive oil, high quality
  • ½ cup Blackberries extracted
  • 8 tablespoons blackberry jalapeño jelly
  • 8 tablespoons Sherry vinegar
  • 6-8 cloves garlic, finely chopped or grated
  • 1 teaspoon basil, fine chopped or dried
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, fine chopped
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes, or to taste
  • honey, to taste totally optional
  • pinch kosher salt and pepper, or to taste

Instructions
 

  • Using a sieve, rub fresh blackberries to remove seeds and extract blackberry juice.
  • Add all ingredients to mason jar with a tight lid. Shake for 10-15 seconds. Use fork to make sure jelly is well combined (if needed)
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Blackberries – using fresh extracted blackberry juice is totally optional.
  • Blackberry Jalapeño Jelly – If you can’t find blackberry jalapeño jelly in your local market, you can buy this jam or jelly, OR use blackberry jelly with jalapeños in the mix and it will still work great!
  • Honey – use honey if you would like your dressing a little sweeter (to taste).
