*peeks in* Hey y’all! I know you probably thought I was still on a hiatus from Blog Like Crazy! If you don’t know what that is, check out my post to find out how I blogged for 30 consecutive days. Christmas is right around the corner and you may be scrambling for last-minute gifts. If you know me then you know I’m a HUGE fan of kitchen gadgets. OK, to be honest, I may have an addiction. BUT…one good thing is I use them all at some point or another, so they aren’t just somewhere collecting dust.
MY TOP KITCHEN MUST-HAVES
So…I thought it would be fun to put together a list of my top kitchen must-haves. They will also make great gift ideas for the holidays or any occasion.
The Vitamix
What can I say? It’s the Vitamix! After my NutriBullet kicked the bucket, I decided it was time to invest. I did have my NutriBullet since 2013, so I know I got my money’s worth. Because I love making smoothies, I knew my Vitamix would be put to good use—and I was able to save almost $80 by price-matching. You may also be able to find my model for less now being that they have newer models out. You really don’t need anything super expensive, a basic Vitamix (if that’s a such thing) will work just fine.
The features of the Vitamix will blow your mind. I have prepared so many things from frozen adult beverages (margaritas, piña coladas, etc.) to smoothies and sweet potato pie filling. I couldn’t wait to try out my coconut curry butternut squash soup and just know it was a hit! Yes, you can make soup using Vitamix!
Features via Vitamix
Featuring Variable Speed Control, a 64-ounce Classic Container, and a cookbook with recipes contributed by celebrated professional chefs for restaurant-quality meals in minutes.
Easy Cleaning // With a drop of dish soap and warm water, your Vitamix machine can clean itself in 30 to 60 seconds.
Variable Speed Control // Easily adjust speed to achieve a variety of textures. The dial can be rotated at any point during the blend, so you’re in complete control.
Large Batches // The size and shape of the 64-ounce container is ideal for blending medium to large batches.
Classic Tamper // The tamper lets you blend any recipe ingredient, any texture—including thick, frozen treats and dense nut butters—without endless attachments that would need to be cleaned and stored.
Hot Soup // The blades in the Vitamix container reach speeds fast enough to create friction heat, bringing cold ingredients to steaming hot in about six minutes.
You can also make batters, non-dairy milk, dressings and sauces, nut butter, flour and dough, baby food, and so much more! Trust me, it is worth every single penny. You can find my Vitamix here. If you don’t want to invest that much money into a Vitamix just yet, definitely check out the NutriBullet here and here.
Copper Chef Cookware
I recently fell in love with Copper Chef cookware. I kept seeing them on TV so one night while in Bed Bath & Beyond, I decided to purchase one. I used my 20% off mailer and purchased a basic frying pan. It’s not your average frying pan either. I don’t “fry” in my home, but I have used it to make eggs, brownies, and fritters. I’ve had it for about 6 months and I haven’t had any issues with it sticking to its non-stick core value. I think I’m going to use it to make salmon croquettes in the near future to put it to another test.

Veggie Bullet
The Veggie Bullet is mostly known for spiralizing vegetables, but it is also considered a food processor. The most popular thing that I use the Veggie Bullet to make is zucchini noodles (AKA Zoodles). Check out this recipe: Zoodles with Tomato Cream Sauce below is a shrimp pasta with pesto zoodles that I whipped up.

Air Fryer
If you want fried food, this is the healthiest way to do it. Yes, healthier fried food is a thing. When I discovered the Philips Air Fryer a few years ago, I knew I had to have it! I still stand by this…just because you are health conscious doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your favorite foods. Imagine fresh-cut fries with 70% less fat compared to the deep fryer. I’ve had my air fryer for almost two years and I absolutely love it. It makes the BEST fresh-cut fries, hot wings, homemade egg rolls, fried okra, and so much more! I even used it to cook my Crispy Crabless Cakes (perfect for my vegan lovers), and they most definitely maintained their crispness.
I also tried out roasted Brussels sprouts. It only took them 5 to 7 minutes to cook (depending on your desired texture). You can check out my IG post to read more.

Cast Iron Skillets
Yes, they made the list again. If you don’t have cast iron skillets in your life, what are you waiting on? We still have the one that my Grandmother passed down to my Mom. They make the best corn cakes (AKA cornbread for old-schoolers) or pancakes that taste like they were made with love by somebody’s mother or grandmother wearing a duster. So good! I needed to complete the set so I ended up purchasing the other sizes. Every cook and foodie needs a set of cast iron skillets. If they don’t come pre-seasoned, you can do it yourself. You can find them here!
These are just a few top favorites. If you missed my earlier post sharing gift ideas for foodies, you can check it out here.
