This is one of those moments where I had to share right away! My intent was to make a smoothie, but the end result reminded me of a slushy or a snow cone! Juice with an icy consistency and totally delicious!!!
What’s In My Cup!
- 1/2 cup strawberries
- 1/2 cup blackberries
- 1/2 cup frozen grapes
- 1 handful of baby spinach
- 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed Granny Smith/green apple juice (or juice of choice)
I opted to use freshly juiced — green (granny smith) apple juice instead of my usual (soy or organic FF milk). It gave me the slush-like flavor. You can also use water instead of juice. Definitely on the top of my list of favorites!

I had to go back and correct my “What’s In My Cup” section, because I can’t assume that everyone uses frozen fruits. I used frozen strawberries, frozen grapes, and frozen blackberries which gave it the icy consistency. However, if you chose to use fresh strawberries, blackberries out the fridge, etc. you will probably need to add about 1/2 cup to 3/4 cups of ice for the icy consistency. I usually buy strawberries fresh, cut the tops off, bag them, and place them in the freezer! It’s delicious! You should totally try it! I also enjoy Diet V8 Splash any flavor for the juice.
