I have a few must-have pieces when it comes to my wardrobe which include: cardigans, kimonos, big hoop earrings, jeans, blazers, and my new favorite…TEES! Before the days of moisture-wicking race shirts, we were given cotton shirts (and some race packets still include them). Tee shirts (or T-shirts) were one of those articles of clothing that ended up in the donation bin mainly because I collected so many over the years. That was until someone put me on to a hack! Basically using tees for household chores (ex. cleaning furniture). HOW-BE-SO-EVER…
Over the past few years, I have noticed a trend when it comes to the infamous TEE, and I’m all the way here for it! When I figured out how I can make them look dope on me…it was on and poppin’! Wait…do people still say “on and poppin’? Or am I telling my age? *chuckle* Anyhoo…
I like to pair them with cardigans, kimonos, my favorite blazer…or whatever I think is cute! It takes little to no effort to look fabulous, and you have so many options! Now you can find tee shirts with trendy designs, catch phrases, etc. — and they don’t have to be super boring, and they most def don’t have to be a tee that you won from your company raffle. Cut it up and have fun with it! Let your tee shirt show off your personality.
Y’all remember the song “White Tee” by Dem Franchize Boyz? Well, that song always comes to mind when I decide to rock a tee. Not even kidding…lol! OK, it may not be white, but “the tee” has definitely become one of my staple pieces.
Check out a few of my favorites:
“Trap Music Made Me Do It” Tee from Ivy & Vine Clothing Company
“Kinda Classy, Kinda Hood” Tee – Gifted
Tees in the Trap “Real Bosses Roll in Silence” Tee (Exclusively sold at Blogalicious 8)
Formation Tee – Gifted
Alabama State University (ASU) Hornets Tee exclusively sold at Walmart (purchased this one in Montgomery, Alabama AKA “The Gump”)
You have to admit, rockin’ a tee is one of the easiest ways to turn your casual to FAB without missing a beat! Throw on some dope earrings, grab your clutch, and head out on the town for date night or an evening out with your girlfriends. IN THAT ORDER!
Are you a fan of tees — Yay or Nah?
