Praying for and remembering everyone affected by the April 27, 2011 tornado. I remember this time last year so clearly. I moved back home from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham shortly before. I was not prepared for what was to come. A tornado hit so close to home. It destroyed my apartment in T-town and completely ravaged through so many neighborhoods in my city. Many lives were lost, homes destroyed, but through it all, the people of Birmingham and the state of Alabama came together to help rebuild! Volunteers, donations, and prayers kept everyone going! I was not directly affected, but very many close to me were.
My prayers are continuously with everyone within our state as well as the various other states affected. I know many have rebuilt and some are still in the rebuilding stage. I also know that people have not been forgotten. Whether you help openly or silently, the people of our state will be forever grateful! I think of this one man in particular often. I met him at a gas station nearby and I will NEVER forget his words and how they blessed me. I hope he is doing well.
Always remember…
May God give you…For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer. ~Irish Blessings Quote
