Whether you’re watching the game or entertaining, there is a recipe for you! Appetizers, snacks, and mains can be enjoyed all season long.
Is it me or is college football season going by way too fast? I have never been a fan of NFL football, so when college football stops, everything stops. However, I normally watch the Super Bowl, but even if I don’t, there will be good food to carry me through the rest of the season. And before I forget, let me shout out my UAB BLAZERS for becoming bowl-eligible after our big RETURN! Proud of you, Blazers and Coach Clark!
Back to it. Here are my favorite recipes to enjoy this season!
BAKED PARSNIP CHIPS
Parsnip Chips = Yummylicious! Some may be wondering…”What is a parsnip?” A parsnip is a vegetable root that closely resembles a carrot or parsley root. It has a beige-cream color, and when eaten raw, it is a semi-sweet flavor. I’m always looking for ways to get in veggies, and these are a great way to do just that! I love Lay’s potato chips, but I try not to keep them in my house. You know, “you can’t eat just one”. Me = The. Whole. Bag. Parsnips Chips are the perfect, low-carb snack that satisfies my chip craving simply by making a healthy swap. They are also perfect for game-day snacking!
BBQ RIBS WITH BLUE CHEESE INFUSED HICKORY BBQ SAUCE
I know we’re not the only ones that grill out during football season. With the season wrapping up and bowl games on the horizon, these delicious BBQ Ribs with Blue Cheese Infused Hickory BBQ Sauce will be the perfect addition to your game-day eats!
Speaking of BBQ, make sure you check out these Southern Baked Beans (made from plants). You won’t even know the difference!
PEPPERMINT OREO BARK
Peppermint Bark is one of my favorite treats, especially this time of year! When I tried it for the first time, I knew I had to learn how to make it so I could get my fix whenever I wanted. I made bark last holiday season, and omgeee! Can you guess what’s special about these? You guessed it — OREOS!
HONEY ROASTED BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH CRANBERRIES AND PECANS
There’s something about Brussels sprouts that I just love! OK, let me be honest, I just started eating them maybe three years ago. No, seriously! I wouldn’t eat them because I didn’t care for them steamed. Oh…but when I discovered ROASTED Brussels sprouts, my life was changed! With it being almost holiday time, adding a little honey just feels right. These sprouts make the perfect fall/winter-inspired recipe! To be honest, you can enjoy it all year long!
CRANBERRY GOAT CHEESE & CHEDDAR CRESCENT SAUSAGE BALLS
With Thanksgiving being in a few weeks, these Cranberry Goat Cheese & Cheddar Crescent Sausage Balls are perfect for any holiday gathering, office party, Thanksgiving morning, or just because! They are so good, there will not be any leftovers.
BONUS RECIPE!
PUMPKIN PATCH CHEESE PIE
How cute is this dessert? Pumpkin Patch Cheese Pie is the cutest dessert ever, and it’s super yummy. It’s also perfect for a family gathering or holiday party!
I hope you enjoy these as much as I did!
