GETTING OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE
I decided to get out of my comfort zone and take Christine D’Ercole’s 60 min HRZ (Heart Rate Zone) Threshold Ride. I really enjoy my rides with her. It’s like my “Saturday Long Run” ride…slow and steady. You feel like you’re riding with a friend. I’ll definitely be revisiting this one again soon. Hopefully it will still be OnDemand or I can find one close to it.
MY BIRTHDAY RIDE!
I did two Birthday Rides – Jess King’s Y2K Ride and Jennifer Jacobs 80s Rock Ride – because I am an 80s Baby…of course! I also added some arm toning to the mix. J. Jacobs gave me a shout out before the class officially started, but I couldn’t replay it. *womp* I think Jess did too, I just didn’t bother to go back and listen. That’s the fun part about taking live rides on milestones or birthdays. It makes you feel like you are there and not just another digital number.
50 RIDES MILESTONE
On March 19th, I reached a milestone of 50 RIDES! I was so nervous, y’all! I felt like it was my first half marathon, especially when it came down to figuring out which ride to take for the Big 5-0. I vibed out to Alex Toussaint’s 45-minute R&B Ride, and the playlist had me moving, grooving, and sweatin’ all up and down those inclines like it was nobody’s business! lol! I did get a Birthday shout out, but unfortunately it’s one of the ones that got wiped in “The Purge”. My Peloton peeps know exactly what I’m talking about.
MY 75TH RIDE!
Speaking of getting out of my comfort zone…on May 11, I celebrated my 75th ride with Christine D’Ercole’s 75 min HRZ Endurance Ride! That’s right SEVENTY-FIVE minutes! It was not nearly as bad as I thought, and I survived…so there’s that on that. This was my best output to date (because your girl be on the struggle bus sometimes, lol), but trust and believe there were lots of calories burned. I also appreciate Christine for showing the XXL (Peloton) Tribe so much love! That’s right…we’re outchea (= out here)! I did this ride in honor of my Mom since it fell on Mother’s Day weekend. This was my longest ride (16.5 miles) since joining the One Peloton fam! I definitely plan on revisiting it again as well. I took a little ride time off, but I’m making my way back! I may not be the fastest, but I’m always present!
I thank God every single time I click my feet in, because until you’ve lost something, you’ll never know how much you miss it or how much it means. It also serves as a reminder to KEEP GOING and to walk/ride into that divine power and strength of greatness!
