Okay guys!!! I did it! I took my Juicer out of the box, been there regrettably since Black Friday, FINALLY! For whatever reason, I was a little nervous about this juicing thing. Not quite sure what to expect, I started off very simple. Apples and oranges. Don’t worry I went on a huge fruit/veggie haul at a local grocery store and I have loads of fresh goodies ready to be consumed!
My first batch was fresh orange juice. I got excited after I tasted it! I couldn’t believe how deliciously sweet it was! Then I decided to try out an apple, just to see…and to my surprise it was just as good. I don’t know why I always thought juicing would be super NOT tasty…and that it would be bland (which is probably why it took me so long). Don’t get me wrong as I get into some other recipes, I’m sure I’ll run across some not-so-tasty ones…but when you find what works for you, stick with it!
I’m all about adventure, so I’m excited! I love all kinds of fruits, berries, and green leafy veggies like kale and spinach…so we shall see!
Here is a photo of my first batch! I took a few sips out of both to try them out! ! My first juice came in at about 12 oz total. I actually combined both juices and it was good!

With how great these turned out — makes you wonder…why do companies/brands feel a need to add more sugar to their juice. Random observation. If you’re looking to Juice for health reasons, detox, etc. Here are some great benefits:
“On a juice fast you should lose weight rapidly. It is easy to create a caloric deficit and lose weight because fruit, vegetables and water are low-calorie foods, but they release energy slowly and fill you up. You will be overloading your body with vitamins and minerals, which strengthen hair, teeth, skin, bones, muscles, circulation and your immune system. Your liver, kidneys, colon, bladder, skin and sinuses will benefit from a rest.”

Just randomly came across your blog and wanted to say… yay you for trying it out! It’s delicious…most of the time. I don’t like when my husband makes it taste like the front lawn though haha.

Thank you CiCi for reading my blog! I was faithful with making smoothies, but I kind of got burned out — so I decided to finally try juicing. I’m sure like smoothies, it can be hit or miss! LOL @ front lawn!!! That sounds like something my husband would make and he would swear it was the best tasting thing in the world! Hopefully I’ll have plenty of yummy recipes to choose from. Wish me luck! :)

What kind of juicer do you have? I need a really good one so that I can juice. I can’t wait to see what kind recipes you come up with.

I bought a juicer on Black Friday last year by Black and Decker on sale for $30! I wasn’t quite sure if I was going to like it so I didn’t spend too much money! But being that I do, I’m actually going to buy another one with a bigger feeder! I saw some for less than $60 that had good reviews. It doesn’t have to be super expensive. Don’t get me wrong, this one works just fine too.
