I know that rest and getting a good night sleep is a big part of self-care. It’s so necessary to function as well as perform day-to-day tasks. Life can get busy and you have to take care of you. I have a bedtime routine that has really helped with getting the sleep that I need. I wake up refreshed and ready to start my day! Here is my routine in no particular order. This post is sponsored by Celestial Seasonings but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
HOT TEA
My evening routine includes Celestial Seasonings, Sleepytime tea. Sleepytime wellness teas are perfect for any health and wellness regime. Celestial Seasonings has Sleepytime Extra, Sleepytime Detox, and Sleepytime Sinus Soother tea. All three teas are caffeine and gluten-free, and perfect for those opting for a healthier alternative to sugary drinks especially before bedtime.
- Sleepytime Extra: Promotes relaxation with calming valerian. It is caffeine free, gluten-free, and has no artificial flavors, colors or artificial preservatives.
- Sleepytime Detox: Promotes natural cleansing by using aloe, green rooibos and dandelion root. It is caffeine and gluten-free, has no artificial flavors, colors or artificial preservatives.
- Sleepytime Sinus Soother: Promotes respiratory comfort with soothing tulsi and nettle. The menthol aroma and flavor is soothing. This tea is also caffeine and gluten-free. There are no artificial flavors, colors or artificial preservatives. (Note: I deal with seasonal allergies and sinus congestion from time to time, and Sleepytime Sinus Soother gives me the respiratory comfort that I need!)
EXERCISE
When it comes to exercise, you’re either a morning or evening person. I really don’t mind either, but when I do exercise in the evening, it definitely relaxes me and it helps me sleep better. Even if it’s 25 minutes, your body will thank you. My HB loves hot tea after his workouts, too!
WRITE IT OUT
Before going to bed, writing out my to-do-list as well as writing tasks in my planner is always helpful. It helps me plan my next day and stay organized. Also journaling is a great stress reliever and will help you feel more relaxed and ready to get good sleep!

MEDITATION/ENERGY CLEANSE
Prayer and meditation always helps me before going to bed. I often listen to my Energy Cleanse or Solfreggio Frequencies playlists or even Soundscapes before bed to assist with meditation. These types of sounds can also help with energy cleansing as well as good sleep. This process also involves turning off all mobile notifications.
What’s your evening/bedtime routine?

These are great ideas for an evening routine. I love this tea, I was able to tour their factory in Boulder a couple of years ago and it is pretty cool. My favorite by them is the sleepy time green jasmine I believe it is called. It has such a nice flavor. Thanks for sharing, I’m headed to grab a cup of tea 🙂
