Metro Diner: A Cozy Casual Favorite

So you all probably know by now that Metro Diner is one of my favorite diners/cozy-casual restaurants. But what’s even better is…we have a NEW location in Trussville!

I visited recently and oh my word! You all know how much I love the Chicken and Waffles with house-made strawberry butter. Annnnnd I’m obsessed with the THE Holy Davoli Burger here…but I had to try something new on my last visit. Here’s a sneak peek of this mound of deliciousness!

This is Metro Diner’s Pulled Pork Mac Stack! Hear me good…IT IS EVERYTHING! You get a half-pound of BBQ pulled pork piled over creamylicious mac and cheese and a Cheddar Cornbread Waffle with Maple Butter. Yes! You read that right! Y’alllll…it’s so good!

So here is my other new favorite! I don’t even know what made me decide on Fish & Chips, but I’m so glad I decided to try something new! I’ve seen it on the menu a few times and this was THE DAY that changed my life! Lol! *so serious* LITERALLY craving it as I type! It comes with wild caught north Atlantic Cod fillets lightly fried, and it’s served with French fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce. But y’all…the fish is so crispy and delicious — and the house-made tartar sauce is exquisite! *swoons* I’m a sucker for a good tartar sauce, too!

This is from a few weeks ago (not hosted visit). HB ordered the French Dip Sandwich: Roast beef with melted provolone on a 9″ hoagie roll and au jus for dipping. It was very good and the CHEESY goodness will make your taste buds do a happy dance! I love cheese! If you like French Dip Sandwiches, you definitely should try it!
