After listening to Jada Pinkett Smith talk about gratitude on the Red Table Talk, it really gave me a heart check. She was discussing the book, Love Without Conditions: Reflections of the Christ Mind by Paul Ferrini for her Summer Healing Sessions.
It’s amazing the abundance we receive from having gratitude — even in the simplest of things. The other day I was getting ready to complain about parking and literally Spirit nudged me, and instantly my attitude was checked. I started thanking the Most High for having a vehicle, having the ability to drive, being financially stable, and whatever else I could think of. Jada suggested in those “moments”, count down TEN things that you are grateful for. I was like…wow! What if I did this more often? For real, not just lip service. What if we all did?

You have to choose gratitude daily. I found this simple journal, Good Days Start With Gratitude: A 52 Week Guide To Cultivate An Attitude Of Gratitude. It’s a daily journal to write down things you are thankful for. I believe when you write them down and really sit back and observe, you will receive abundance in the most beautiful ways. I’ve even found myself saying thank you to people for simple things, and often getting strange looks because the deed was so small. I guess it’s foreign to many, because everyone does not have a posture of thankfulness and gratitude. I’m definitely going to be more intentional when it comes to gratitude by saying it aloud, and yes, even writing it down.
