Talk about stunning! Miss Angola, Leila Lopes, is crowned Miss Universe 2011! The pageant was held in São Paulo, Brazil, Monday Sept. 12, 2011. Leila beat out 88 other competitors for the title of Miss Universe! What better way to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the most-anticipated pageant! Beautiful women from nearly 90 countries competed in: evening gown, swimsuit, and personality interview.
Leila is a 25-year-old, studying Business Management in Great Britain. She is the first to win the title of Miss Universe from Angola, Africa.
She stated:
“Thank God I’m very satisfied with the way God created me and I wouldn’t change a thing…I consider myself a woman endowed with inner beauty. I have acquired many wonderful principles from my family and I intend to follow these for the rest of my life.”
First runner-up was Miss Ukraine, second runner-up – Miss Brazil, third runner-up – Miss Philippines, and rounding up the top five was Miss China.
