Hot Crab Dip for Dinner
Not long ago, I decided to make this cheesy Hot Crab Dip for dinner. I know…totally random. HB and I paired it with a glass of Riesling, and it was perfect! I can’t believe it took me so long to make it again, but I’m glad I did. Shortly after, I decided to make it again for the family during one of the weekends we were all together. And you better believe it was a HIT! Now, everyone requests this dip every time we get together.
The Cheesier the Better!
One thing that makes this appetizer dip so amazing is the cheese. It’s absolute perfection! The succulent lump crab meat and melted cheese are absolutely glorious. Can’t forget those amazing flavors, garlic, fresh chopped spinach, and artichokes. The cheesier the better!
The Versatility
I came up with this recipe and used Hot Crab, Spinach, and Artichoke Dip as the filling. Note: I used a Parmesan-cheddar blend for the puffs recipe. You basically take the dip and stuff them into puff pastries. You can find the recipe here!

Hi Artney,
It makes me hungry!!! Can you tell me, how long does it take to make this recipe?
My Pretty Brown Fit says
It doesn’t take long at all! If everything is prepared, chopped, etc. Maybe 15 minutes to whip up and 15-18 minutes to cook — so 30 minutes!

Made this last night for a trial run for a Christmas party, added some roasted green chilies. We loved this dip!! I think this will be added to my regular party dips. Thanks so much Artney!
My Pretty Brown Fit says
Yay! So excited to hear this! I love green chilies! Adding them sounds wonderful. Thank you for sharing! Now I’m hungry, lol!

Can this be made ahead? I have a holiday party I’m hosting and wanted to make as many things ahead of time as possible.
My Pretty Brown Fit says
You can, but I would prepare it the same day. I do however recommend serving this dip hot and fresh out of the oven — or you can transport after baking.
Christina says
Looks delicious thinking about making your recipe do you have to add Worcestershire sauce to it. I’ve been seeing a lot of recipes that call for it. And also with the spinach does it make it watery? Would love to know before I make it
My Pretty Brown Fit says
Hi Christina! Only what’s listed is what I add to it. I don’t have a problem with spinach watering down the dish. I would not use frozen spinach. I hope you try it! Enjoy!

Yummy. I added 1 tsp of lemon juice, garlic powder, seasoning salt, S & P, along with a small can of chopped green chilies! Perfect Super bowl party dip…or, anytime!
