Between real life, work, blogging, working out, races, Dream Team Serve, and whatever else I can’t think of at the moment, I really needed something to help me “get my life”. I had been on a search for a planner since Christmas, but not just any planner, it had to be perfect. I found a nice planner at Target, but it still wasn’t “the one”.
*Enters the Erin Condren LifePlanner into my life*
Can we just take a moment to soak in the packaging of my Erin Condren LifePlanner? It’s bright and colorful…everything that I LOVE! I received a free Wellness Journal (watercolor) with my purchase, too!
When I found out about the wonderful world of scrapbooking planning, I knew there was no going back. Washi tape, stickers, pens, markers, you name it! Having these supplies in my stash makes planning for the week therapeutic.
I chose the “scales” (mermaid) cover for my planner, because it’s obviously the year of the mermaid! Princess Ariel is really having her year, y’all! There were so many options, which is why it took me FOR-EV-AH to figure out the colors for my planner cover. I finally decided on Butter and Robin. My friend Christi (Colts Wish) also has the mermaid/scales cover for her planner…and I’m in love with her colors, too! A WIN: the covers are interchangeable. You can get a look at them here.
I had a hard time deciding between the vertical and horizontal planner, but I ended up getting horizontal. Next year I’m going to switch to vertical just to change it up. And did you know you can search #ECLPhorizontal (or #ECLPvertical) on Instagram to see the different ways to “scrapbook” your planner? Yes, it’s real out there! Also, check out Pinterest for ideas.
I love the inverted colors on the inside of the cover. I really could have gone either way!
I added a little washi and stickers to start planning my birthday week! Hey girl, heyyyy!
My planner included:
- snap-in bookmark/ruler
- durable 2-sided pocket folder
- calendar
- interchangeable cover
- A mixture of lined pages, designer blank pages, graph pages, and motivational quotes
I went by my local Michael’s to pick up washi tape and stickers on sale. Another WIN: I was able to get a 15-pack of assorted washi tape using my 50% off coupon. ErinCondren.com has lots of cute stickers, accessories, and supplies as well. I found a few more things to add to my wishlist. I think I’m going to go ahead and get the snap-in dashboard – meal planner. You use a permanent marker to write out your menu/grocery list, and it’s erasable which means you can use it week after week!
I love the clear pouch that holds pens, pencils, stickers, etc. There are also stickers in the back for different occasions, from celebrations to a mani/pedi and even blank stickers to write on.

The compliment cards are a nice addition. When you’re having one of “those” days, you may need a little pick-me-up. I’m all for adding a little joy into my day with words of affirmation!
