Confession: I did promise that I would post my recap and I’m a woman of my word. I know it’s the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend 2016, so I thought this would be the perfect time to slip in this recap from my 2015 Disneyland Half Marathon 10th Anniversary weekend. Do you think anyone would notice? Lol! Anyhoo…this was a two-part trip: race weekend + visiting with my Sissy in Los Angeles (Redondo Beach).
The first day in Cali was simply amazing! It was gorgeous and the weather was perfect! We decided that we would have a chill day. You know…pick up Starbucks “You Are Here” collection mugs, head to the beach, eats…fun stuff. We decided to go to Manhattan Beach to soak up the sun!
I think someone is ready for the expo! (Please don’t tell I posted this!)
First order of business when it comes to eats in Cali is In-N-Out Burger! This is our tradition whenever we visit!

THE EXPO
The next day was pretty busy. We started the day off by attending the Cigna Blogger Meet-Up at Napa Rose Restaurant at the Grand Californian. Afterwards, we headed to the expo to pick up my packet, check out the merch and vendors, and hopefully get my hands on the exclusive Run Disney Donald Duck or Tinkerbell New Balance. I was a little disappointed that I didn’t pre-order the jacket/hoodie, because it was so fly! The merch they had at the expo just didn’t do it for me or they were completely out of my size. Womp! I know better next time.
My first Run Disney Challenge and I was pumped that it was Dumbo Double Dare (10K + Half Marathon)! I absolutely adore Dumbo for so many reasons. Coast to Coast…here I come!
I had to get a close-up of the Coast to Coast medal! Eeeeeeeeek!
And of course I had to stop by the booth to see Jeff Galloway, former Olympian and official training consultant for Run Disney!
As you can see, I couldn’t wait to put on my new Donald’s! So comfie.
Here’s a close up of the sneaks!
Look who I ran into! I had a fan-girl moment when I finally got a chance to meet fellow blogger, Krissy (and sweet baby Abby) of Shiawase Life. I remember seeing her post about Disney races early in my blogging journey. I love how social media has a way of bringing us all together.
IG MEET-UP!
After leaving the expo, we made our way to the Downtown Starbucks for the IG Meet-Up Hosted by Pink Cupcake Girl!
All it took was one Run Disney weekend and we were friends for life! So excited I got to see my sweet friends, Christi of Colts Wish and my very own personal Pastry Chef Dani at the meet-up! Love these girls so much!!!
We also ran into our other friend, Jen of Pink Cupcake Girl and host of the IG Meet-up who I’m pretty sure flies with Tinkerbell and her besties! She will inspire you to hit trails and explore!
I finally got a chance to meet my Insta-friend Ivie (not pictured) and her fiancé AJ! Ivie’s IG feed will totally inspire you on your fitness/weight loss journey! And of course the guys hit it off. They truly are the sweetest couple that we now call friends. You can check out their blog here: www.ivieandaj.com.
I made so many friends at the meet-up and we keep in touch often and always look forward to seeing each other at Run Disney races. Run Disney weekends always turns into a family reunion! So much fun!
In case you missed my first recap of the Cigna Blogger Meet-Up, you can find it here!

Sounds like fun. I’ll have to research Run Disney. My little one is a runner. She doesn’t rum distance, but she’d love to run through Disney World or Disney Land.

I don’t run unless I’m being chased, but this looks like a lot of fun! The sneakers are cute, too!

lol!!! Everyone says that! I used to say that, too. It can be addicting!

Hilarious!!! I’m not a runner either. I’m not good at it and I have bad knees. Lord I hope no one ever chases me… Lol

But why was I most excited about In N Out? LOL
I’ve never been to Cali or any Disney Park but this expo looked like it was alot of fun.
