I’ve been trying to be more mindful of my habits, especially being home more and less active than my typical Monday through Friday. You know, walking from place to place, getting those extra steps, miles, and even floors in. Thank God for my Peloton bike and the off-the-bike classes. Trying to stay active while in quarantine has its challenges, but I’m getting it done.
After picking up a keto-blend smoothie mix, I decided I wanted to start making smoothies again. No, I’m not keto, but I do like to try keto-ish things. I’ve also been wanting to try the Premier Protein Bananas & Cream flavor shake for a minute. I finally picked up a 12-pack from Sam’s Club. I’m always looking for something quick and filling to satisfy me, especially on busy days.
Creamy Banana Boost Smoothie
This Bananas & Cream shake (by itself) gave me the extra boost (30g of protein) and left me feeling satisfied. I also love that the shakes are low-sugar, so if you want to add fruit (or veggies), you can. Although I have been on a non-dairy kick, I still drink dairy from time to time. I did find out Premier makes a shake made with oats. I hope they keep them low on sugar and come up with more flavors! I’ll keep you posted if I try one.
How Does It Taste?
I love Banana Pudding, so you know I had to try it. The flavor is great—creamy and delicious! I added fresh fruit to my shake and turned it into a smoothie. But not just any smoothie, but a Creamy Banana Smoothie! I absolutely love the way it turned out! Almost, but not quite, Banana Pudding in a cup sans the wafers. It’s low sugar, so that makes me love it even more. You can even crumble some Vanilla Wafers or Nilla Wafers on top, add fresh bananas, and get creative with toppings or mix-ins.
I actually added a few drizzles of Jordan’s Skinny Syrups in Caramel Pecan flavor! So good—I love these syrups! That’s totally optional. Another day, I added frozen pineapples into the mix to give it more tropical vibes! Let’s get into it!

Yum – I love using bananas in my smoothies! I usually freeze a bunch of them when they get too brown for my liking. They are perfect to put in the blender! 🙂
