Holiday traditions through food.
I love the holiday season because it’s a great excuse to cook, bake, and try new recipes! I’m looking forward to our holiday gatherings over the next few weeks. Wait! Did I just say a few weeks? Can you believe Thanksgiving is almost here? Then Christmas! The good thing is I always have something yummy in my foodie tank.
Sharing a little crescent love.
Being that it’s the holiday season, I love finding seasonal items to incorporate into my recipes. I will be preparing one of my NEW favorites: Cranberry Goat Cheese & Cheddar Crescent Sausage Balls! My whole family loves crescent rolls because they are perfect for any meal. In addition, sausage balls are one of my favorites because they go well with any occasion. This recipe is one the whole family will love!
I also have a plant-based sausage balls recipe for the vegetarian/vegan in your life! You can find my Spicy Cheddar Sausage Balls – Made from Plants here.
WHERE TO BUY SPECIALTY CHEESE
Most grocery stores like Publix will carry a variety of cheeses in the deli section. An assortment of cheeses specific to seasons can be used to enhance seasonal recipes. I found my Candied Cranberry Goat Cheese at Publix. Similar to this one here.
CAN YOU USE PLANT-BASED MEAT?
Absolutely! That’s why I love these sausage balls because they are adaptable. Prepare your favorite “meat” made from plants (I personally love Impossible) and use my Spicy Sausage Seasoning Blend to flavor it up! You can find the recipe here. This seasoning blend can also be used with ground beef, turkey, etc.
Your sausage balls will look like this:
