The countdown is on for the Women’s Running Series Nashville 5K/Half Marathon! I’m so excited because this will be my first Women’s Running Series race and my fifth half marathon. I’ve heard great things about this series and I look forward to sharing the pavement with all of the awesome ladies (and gents) and other Half Fanatics! Yes, the series is open to both men and women participantsโbut sorry men, age group, and overall awards will be given to female participants only and you can’t start in the first corral. But, that’s okay! You still get a sweet finisher’s medal.

Oh this sound like a fun race, for sure. I never knew that marathons & half marathons where you can maintain a slower pace existed. That would be a great starting race for beginners! Have fun =)
Yes! Most races have increased their pace requirement because they attract a lot of runners, wunners (walk run/Galloway/interval runners), walkers, charity groups, etc. 4 who are not participating competitively so it gives them time to enjoy and finish the race! I think those make up for the large majority of registrants.
how awesome! i’m training for my first 5K, this one sounds awesome!!
