This Cherry Lavender Bark is made with melted white chocolate chips, cherry and lavender essence, and this bark can be enjoyed two ways! It’s creamy and delicious and gets better with each bite.

It’s National Cherry Month and I can honestly say, cherries have become a beloved favorite fruit of mine. I’ve always loved eating the long-stem cuties, but when I had frozen cherries in a smoothie, I knew there was no turning back. Some may like them sweet, tart, fresh, or frozen, but they have amazing health benefits. Cherries are low in calories, nutrient-rich with calcium, potassium, magnesium, vitamin A, C, and K—and plenty of antioxidants. We can’t forget they are loaded with fiber, too.
Cherry Lavender Bark – Two Ways
This fun recipe will be a segue into something beautiful with my love for cherries. In addition, lavender has been one of the scents I’ve been crushing on lately. From soap, incense, flowers, and even candles—the scent is so fresh and fragrant. I said if I could get my hands on culinary lavender, it’s on and poppin’! And what do you know…I found it! We actually have lavender growing in our garden, so I can’t wait for it to bloom.
A treat for any occasion
I really wanted to make a sweet treat for Valentine’s Day centered around cherries. I made this Cherry Lavender (White Chocolate) Bark for HB and he loved it. This bark can easily be shared in a Valentine’s Day or Easter goodie bag, but don’t let a holiday define when you enjoy this delicious bark!
Ingredients You Will Need:
- Premium baking white chocolate chips. And YES, vegan white chocolate chips are available. You can also check your local grocery store. They are super delicious!
- Cherry extract (optional if you use dried cherries)
- Culinary lavender (food-grade)
- Dried Cherries (optional)
How are Cherry and Lavender incorporated?
I found Cherry Extract, so I’ve been having fun with different recipes to see how I wanted to incorporate it. This is an imitation cherry extract, so a little goes a long way to give you the perfect amount of flavor to enhance your recipe.
You can also use dried cherries, if you can find a good quality or brand. I ended up dehydrating my cherries the second time I made it and they turned out amazing. You can find a good, food dehydrator here. Check your air fryer manual to see if yours can dehydrate as well.
For the Lavender
With culinary lavender, a little goes a long way as well. I mean…VERY little. For this recipe: for every 12 ounces of melted chocolate, you only need 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of culinary lavender. I’m telling you, you don’t need much. If you’re feeling real bossy, you can add a full teaspoon—but trust me—your chocolate will be very fragrant. Unless that’s what you want. Feel free to adjust to your liking. You can also mix it in or sprinkle it on top of the sheet pan with white chocolate before placing in the freezer.
If you Decide To Use Dried Cherries to make Cherry Lavender White Chocolate Bark
For dehydrated cherries (DIY): You can use dried cherries to make this cherry lavender bark if you can find them. If you can’t, you can also use a food dehydrator and dehydrate your cherries for 6 hours. I have a Ninja Foodi Air Fryer with a dehydrator feature. I dehydrated my cherries on my highest setting (165° F) for 4 hours then reduced to 130° F then 105° F to finish them off.
For packaged cherries: All you need is a 1/4 cup of dried cherries. Pour your melted cherry lavender white chocolate onto your baking sheet before placing in the freezer. Next, sprinkle pieces of dried cherries on top and use a toothpick to press down so they can sink into white chocolate. Finally, place your pan in the freezer.
What Kind of White Chocolate should I use?
Any baking white chocolate will work fine. I like using this brand of premium white chocolate chips. You can melt your chocolate on the stove (double broiler-style) or use the microwave like I did with my Peppermint Oreo Bark recipe here. Before you go all in with the cherry extract, most importantly, taste it first so you won’t add too much. Remember, like the lavender, a little goes a long way.
