This is such a fun time of year and what better way to Pass the Joy than with food! Back in April, I had the opportunity to attend a preview for a new Sprouts Farmers Market location in my area. I fell in love the moment I walked into the store. How could you not with an array of beautiful, bright and bold colors!
Sprouts is a market that gives you that old-fashioned farmers market feel. They have natural and organic foods and products with prices that make healthy living affordable. They have fresh fruits and vegetables, bulk items such as nuts and grains, coffee, a full service deli, meat and seafood stations, and so much more!
LET’S CELEBRATE THE SEASON!
We all love a good home cooked meal, especially around the holidays! Thanks to Sprouts, Christy of Southern Plate, and Stacey of Southern Bite, I was able to taste test healthy holiday recipes that featured ingredients from Sprouts. I shared before about my love for Brussels sprouts. Now, I have a new way to enjoy them: Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Cranberries and Pecans! There’s something about these balsamic drizzled Brussels sprouts that will make you want to go back for seconds.
Updated: I was so inspired that I decided to try them for myself. You can find my Honey Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Cranberries, Pecans & Gorgonzola recipe here!
It gets better! Have you ever heard of Sweet Corn Spoonbread? I hadn’t either until Stacey prepared it for us! Oh my word. It is absolutely amazing! It’s a dump, stir, and pour recipe and super easy to make. I love sweet corn so it wasn’t hard to love. You can get the recipe here.
Then there’s dessert! Okay, this Sweet Potato Crème Brûlée is really a side dish, but if you know how I feel about my sweet potato casserole, then this dish can most certainly pass for dessert. I have not made it just yet, but I definitely plan on making it soon. You can get the recipe at SouthernPlate.com!

I never knew how easy it was to make Scones. These Cranberry Almond Scones will be perfect Christmas morning or any morning for that matter. You can get the recipe at SouthernBite.com!

You must have a fun, holiday drink to enjoy with family and friends! I love making Coquito (traditional Puerto Rican egg nog) for the holidays, but I think I have a new favorite! This Holiday Milk Punch is super easy to make and a great substitution for egg nog. Also, if you are vegan, here’s an option for you! All of the Holiday Milk Punch ingredients (sans bourbon) can be purchased at Sprouts.
Holiday Milk Punch prepared by Stacey of Southern Bite (Recipe Inspiration)
2 cups milk
2 cups half & half
1 cup of bourbon
1/2 cup powdered sugar or 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract (optional)
A few shakes of nutmeg
