As a family we decided to do something fun to wrap up our holiday time together. We ate so much food, so we knew going out to dinner was totally out of the question. We wanted something to stimulate our minds that involved some type of activity.
We decided to BREAKOUT.
If you aren’t familiar with Breakout, it’s an activity not like your average. It’s perfect for mystery solvers and people who believe team work makes the dream work.
There are rooms with different themes (or storylines). All sorts of clues, codes, and puzzles to solve, and you have 60 minutes to solve the mystery. We chose the “Hostage” theme, and let me just say…it was pretty challenging.
I should have known anything related to airplanes was going to be challenging. We came “So Close”, and here is what I learned from Breakout:
- Two is better than one
- Time is of the essence
- Everything is fair game
- Sometimes the answer is staring your right in the face
- Don’t overthink it
- You don’t have to be a genius to be great
- The more the merrier and the quicker you can solve mysteries
- Family is everything
Have you played the BREAKOUT game?
