I can’t believe it! Can someone pinch me?! In ONE month I will be headed to Walt Disney World for the Princess Half Marathon Weekend…a weekend “Fit For a Princess”! I usually share more info of my upcoming Run Disney races, because there are serious levels to this (i.e., excitement)! I’m talkin’ about months in advance kind of excitement…but I’ll get to that in a minute. Being that I have been in chill-mode (regarding running) since my last marathon, it was time for me to get some type of running or walking in. After prayer service a few Saturdays ago, I met up with a few Princesses and I kicked off my training with a 5K for the Princess Half!
Rockin’ our runDisney shirts in honor of the 2016 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend!
[Back to] what had happened wuz…
I was supposed to run my first Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend in November *soul cry*, but I had a HUGE schedule conflict for a conference that I have been trying to attend for 3 years. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity, especially with it being so close to home. So I’ll have to make W&D happen another year. And because I couldn’t let an entire year go by and NOT run a Disney race, I had to make it happen! I seriously just decided on the Princess Half a few days ago. By the way…I will be returning to Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in 2017!
Princess Half Marathon was my first runDisney race, and although I said I wasn’t planning on returning until I participated in the Glass Slipper Challenge, I can’t wait to go back! And it’s The Little Mermaid theme. Adorable! If you didn’t know this, The Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney movie! I have no idea about a costume, or if I will be wearing one at all. I’m just happy to be going! By the way there are new costume & safety guidelines and park rules.
Let’s go “Under the Sea” and get a peek at the weekend medals!

I just have to give a big magical shout out to one of the most magical friends on earth, Brittney, over at Main Street Memories! She is an authorized Disney vacation planner and she is in the business of making dreams come true. It is because of her that this Princess is now able to fulfill her 2016 dream. So, if you or your family are planning a Disney vacation (or racecation), contact Brittney at brittney@classictravelconnection.com. You can find Main Street Memories on Facebook, too!
