I am so excited that December is here! It’s time for egg nog, peppermint bark, and all of our holiday favorites! When I was little girl, I would get excited about my Mom making our countdown to Christmas stocking! It was the cutest cut-out with mini candy canes attached by delicately tied bows made of yarn. Every morning we would get to release the candy cane for that specific day. As we moved closer to Christmas, candy canes would disappear and we knew that Christmas was near!
As an adult, I get excited about making the Holiday Edition of my (not so healthy) “Special Brownies”and I only make them a few times a year. Magic City Classic weekend, winter holiday season, and celebrations. You can get the recipe here!
I’m also ready to watch all of my favorite classics and holiday themed movies (while sipping egg nog, of course)! Other favorites this time of year is The Sound of Music, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1974), Gremlins, and so many more! Also, ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas is in full swing and will air from December 1-December 25. That’s right! We get to celebrate the season with more classics and movie specials! SO MUCH FUN!

I see that ABC Family is introducing everyone to a classic, “Emmett Otter’s Jugband Christmas”. I have that one on DVD. It has been a Jackson family favorite for years.
