So here’s a little weekend recap: Let’s just say–not being as active after my last half marathon up until December 31…I sure could tell a difference. I had a few runs here and there + Zumba, but I had so much going on with work, family, holiday stuff…that I barely had time to think. I had to remind myself, “Art…you do have to get back to training–you have two races coming up!” Gotta “Preserve the Sexy”! My Bondi Band doesn’t say that for nothing!
Got up early Saturday–well my early turned to later, because there was clearly a tropical storm going on outside! It was 65 degrees in the prime of Winter and I was trying to figure out how to get 11 miles in without having to break them up and by avoiding the treadmill. I took a chance and just like that…the sun was shining and I was off to a LATE start. I have the tan lines to prove it.
Only a mud puddle later and leaping over a few dozen broken branches–my mission was accomplished! Pretty excited that I completed what I set out to do. Don’t get me wrong it was rough, but I got it done.
Some days it absolutely does hurt more than others! Dang YOU plantar fasciitis! Who knew that this little thorn would try to stop me from accomplishing my goal for the day, but I didn’t let it! Sometimes you have to slow it down and listen to your body.
I managed to crawl out of the bed after my long run to go celebrate with friends! Just kidding…believe it or not, as I cover more distance, recovery gets much easier. The Galloway Method has been a big help in my recovery.
Met up with my running divas to celebrate our Sole Sister’s birthday!
Dinner at Brio Tuscan Grille was awesome! Happy Birthday, Ashley!!! (Pictured in the sexayy silver dress)
Have you ever experienced plantar fasciitis?

Keep it up hun, you are inspiring me to start back running, once you stop for so long getting back to the pavement can be intimidating! Btw, you’re beautiful :)

I know the pavement/running can be intimidating, but please don’t let it intimidate you. Start off slow and take baby steps–you”ll be back to where you want to be before you know it! Besides, it doesn’t matter…it’s your race, your pace…just enjoy it! And btw, you must be all up in my head lol because I was just thinking the same thing about you, pretty girl! Thank you! :-)
